Chicago™ Grip for EHS Cable, Curved Jaw
- When pulling the EHS (extra-high-strength) galvanised-steel cable, the galvanised surface has a tendency to coat the jaws of any grip, causing the cable to slip
- To reduce the possibility of slippage and damage to the cable, the jaws of this grip are milled on a curve with a double 'V' contour
- For use on aluminium, copper, weatherproof coated wire, PVC-covered conductors, and messenger and guy strand.
- Locking handle keeps jaw open while grip is placed on cable with a hot stick
- Made in the USA
Designed for use on aluminium, copper, weatherproof coated wire, PVC-covered conductors, and messenger and guy strand. The Chicago-style grip was designed for cable sizes from 0.12'' to 1.0'' (3.10 mm to 25.4 mm). When pulling EHS (extra-high-strength) galvanised-steel cable, the galvanising has a tendency to coat the jaws of any grip, causing the cable to slip. Double 'V' contour reduces the possibility of slippage and damage to the cable.
